I start each video from the research phase, looking up stats and information. I then turn that into a script. Following the script I head into Adobe Illustrator and create all the graphs and graphics needed for the show. I then record the audio and edit/mix my narration. Next I take the final narration and the Illustrator graphics and combine them into a motion graphic design that times up with my narration in After Effects. Finally I take the motion graphics and final narration into Premiere Pro and do the final edit, adding in any remaining details and touches.
A collection of logo animations from various projects for the Academy of Model Aeronautics dating between 2023 and 2025. The static logos/wordmarks were created by a graphic designer on staff in Adobe Illustrator. I then took the Illustrator file and reformatted the layers for animation. The reformatted Illustrator file was then imported into After Effects where the motion graphic work was done. Any sound design was done in Premiere Pro.
I was responsible for updating the overall branding and look of the AMA's monthly news talk show "AMA Air". The process started with creating an entirely new graphics package and presentation for the show. From there I was able to drag and drop new material each month into the project, essentially creating a custom template to speed up the editing process but still remaining flexible for different possibilities (such as interviews, pre-recorded video packages, etc.) as they arose each month. I utilized Premiere Pro and After Effects to complete this project.
I was responsible for capturing all video for this project, which includes all the b-roll and interviews. I also created several motion graphics that fit within the desired "behind the scenes" look. The goal of the video was to give insight into the various volunteers who help run the competition. I utilized Premiere Pro and After Effects to complete this project.
I was responsible for capturing interviews with members of a youth group associated with an AMA club. The goal of the video was to help promote the benefits of being apart of an AMA club, and ways to encourage youth to join. I combined several interviews with b-roll overlayed to help tell the story. I utilized Premiere Pro and After Effects to complete this project.
I was responsible for capturing an interview with a donor to the AMA Foundation. I then created original graphics utilizing personal photographs provided by the client. I combined those elements with text graphics to help tell the donor's story. I utilized Premiere Pro and After Effects to complete this project.
I was responsible for filming the events of the AMA's national competition, as well as capturing interviews with competitors. I then created original graphics and edited everything together with music and sound effects to create this short form documentary recapping the event. I utilized Premiere Pro and After Effects to complete this project
I was responsible for editing this video, but the real work was creating motion graphics from scratch that fit the already established branding for the organization. I used After Effects and Premiere Pro for this project.

I was responsible for videography and editing on this project. I used Premiere Pro and After Effects. This was a promotional video created for a grant offered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
On this project I used After Effects to create a title animation. The goal was to create a quick snappy title animation that could be placed before or after a video. It needed to feel retro, but also clean and bold in order to fit the brand.
On this project I used a combination of After Effects and Photoshop to create a fluid graphics based video for YouTube/Tik Tok. Utilizing knowledge of layout to create visually interesting motion graphics. This is an extension of the full-length videos I produce for Football Ancestry (listed below).
My workflow started with masking-out and creating PNGs of the subjects, then heading into After Effects and using motion paths and masks to manipulate text and shapes on a 2D plane to create visually interesting motion graphics.

This short film is a mock-documentary following three participants in a city-wide scavenger hunt for a diamond prize.
This was a short film I created as part of my senior capstone project at Utah Tech University. This film is different from my original capstone plans due to the COVID-19 lock-downs. The original film, "Do Not Touch" was completely through pre-production and ready to shoot, but then quarantine hit and prevented me from continuing on with the film. This project is the alternative result of that.
Some rules we had to follow when developing this movie was keeping the set to a maximum of 6 people (including actors and crew) and we had to find locations that were still open/accessible. Luckily the cast and crew helped make this a reality through their hard-work and determination.
I lead the project from pre-production through post-production working alongside my producer and crew. This film was shot in three days throughout various locations in Las Vegas, NV using a Fuji X-T3. It was edited in Premiere Pro and After Effects.

This is a documentary produced by DSU Films about the small Utah town of Leeds. On this project I worked to help create over 100 individual graphics from scanned-in photographs that were placed onto a background and made to mimic a real 3-D environment. I also worked to create the lower-thirds for each interview and created the end credits. I used After Effects to complete this project.

I worked as the head of the editing department and coordinated the organizing, syncing, and logging of raw footage before helping create this initial rough cut. This was edited in Premiere Pro.
Most of my work on the film came behind the scenes in early stages of post-production, but here is an initial very rough cut of some of the scenes I worked on within the editing department.

This is a documentary produced, edited, and directed by Tisa Zito about an artist by the name of Angelo. On this project I worked to create original motion graphics of scanned-in photographs of Angelo's life. Other parts I was responsible for include manipulating a template provided by my producer for the end credits to fit the style she was looking for. I used After Effects to create this project.

This was an assignment in the Advanced Post-Production course at Utah Tech University. For this project I used 3-D positioning and masking to create a lyric video for the song "Ocean Man". I used keyframes to manipulate text animations and positions, as well as masking to create a lyric video timed with the music.
Visual Effects
This was an assignment in the Advanced Post-Production course at Utah Tech University. For this project I used After Effects to create a 3-D map that an animated boat could move through. I used the camera tool in After Effects to create the animation. A wave effect was added to the boat's sails to create a windy look.
