A Little About Myself

I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada but I have ended up calling many places home since I was a part of a military family. Moving around could be difficult, but my passion for creativity helped me get through tough moves. In particular, my love of film making dates back to when I was a little boy watching Star Wars for the first time. The awe of seeing a whole galaxy come to life and the wonderful stories told within it were inspiring. Beyond watching the movies countless times, I would also gulp up the bonus features and behind the scenes material to see how the film was created. That's when I decided I also wanted to create media that would inspire and entertain people just like Star Wars did for me. From that I fell in love with the post-production process, although I enjoy every aspect of video creation. 

Branching out from video, I decided around my time in high school to start practicing not only videography, but photography.  I thought it was a unique challenge to try and tell a story or evoke an emotion through a single frame, as compared to video where I could use motion and sound to help enhance my message. This journey continued into college with an Intro to Photography course which taught me the fundamentals of manually crafting an image. 

With both categories I realize there is still a lot more for me to learn, which excites me.  And while I am proud of the work I have created, I am always looking forward to the next project where I can continue to improve and get better. 

Personal Quick Facts

• I graduated with a degree in Media Studies with an emphasis in Digital Film and a minor in Digital Design at Utah Tech University (formerly Dixie State University) in St. George, Utah in the Spring of 2020

• For High School I attended Northwest Career and Technical Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada where I was able to get hands on experience in a four year program focused on media production before I even got to college

• I have lived in Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, and Indiana

• I am a triplet! I have a sister and a brother

• My favorite film franchises are Star Wars and Indiana Jones

• I am a big fan of NFL football and fantasy football - Go Dolphins!
